Pune/Pune Sports News: chessTactics in Carrom, Exact Names in Carrom, Table tennisThe anniversary of the Jayaraj Sports Convention Center was celebrated with gusto at the Jayaraj Club in Kondhwa in a sporting atmosphere of intense matches and fast-paced games of badminton. Members of various age groups and sports enthusiasts enthusiastically participated in various competitions and an atmosphere of sports enthusiasm was seen in the club premises throughout the day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently emphasized on inculcating sports culture in the country through the spirit of 'Khelega India, Khilega India', appealing to the youth to participate in the field of sports on a large scale. Sports develop discipline, team spirit, confidence and sportsmanship along with physical fitness. With this view, sports competitions like Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis and Badminton were organized on the occasion of Jayaraj Club's anniversary.
Fierce fights in chess and carrom
Krisil Shah and Krishang Shah won the under 18 category of the chess tournament. Prakash Oswal and Ranjit Shah won in the 18-year-old group. In the carrom competition, Hridan Meher and Vihan Meher won the title in the under-18 group, while Mayur Meher and Saurabh Shah won the title in the 18-year-old group. In the table tennis competition, Artha Runwal and Adiv Shah won the title in the under-18 group. Anup Meher and Pritesh Mehta won in the above 18 years category. Also, Vilas Shah and Ranjit Shah won the title in the over 60 category.

Strong performance by male and female players in Badminton
Arnav Shah, Lavan Patel, Artha Runwal, Ridan Pratham Parekh, Tushar Rathod, Vrajesh Shah and Rajesh Parekh in various age groups of Badminton won the titles in their respective groups. In the women's category, Priyal Shah, Pooja Gandhi and Snehal Shah displayed impressive performances and won the titles in their respective groups.
A special honor for outstanding sportsmanship
Along with the performance in the competition, enthusiasm, participation and sportsmanship in the field of sports were also specially honoured. Smit Sanghvi was honored with the 'Best Sporting Award', Hasmukh Patel with the 'Senior Star Award' and Baal Shah with the 'Youngest Participant Award'. Rajesh Shah, Joint Managing Trustee Nainesh Nandu, Secretary Rajendra Shah and Trustees Dilip Mehta and Pankaj Dedia presented the awards.
