Baby-focused quick-commerce startup Kiddo has raised Rs 12.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Campus Fund, with participation from strategic angel investors. The company plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its operations and expand across Delhi NCR.
Funding to support expansion
Founded by Ankit Kawatra, Kiddo delivers baby-care and parenting essentials through a quick-commerce model, while offering product recommendations based on a child’s life stage.
The startup currently has more than 30,000 curated products across baby essentials, fashion and other categories. It plans to expand its dark-store network across Delhi NCR by the end of the year, while also investing in customer acquisition, technology, product development and team building.
Focus on parents and children
Kiddo is building a specialised platform around the needs of parents, rather than treating baby products as one category within a broader grocery marketplace.
The company says its focus is on combining rapid delivery with age-based product discovery, helping parents find products suited to different stages of childhood.
India’s baby-care market was valued at about $31 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach $56 billion by 2029, according to market data cited in reports on the funding round.
Competition grows in specialised commerce
Kiddo enters a market that includes established baby and children’s commerce companies as well as newer quick-commerce platforms. Bengaluru-based Peeko and Gurugram-based OZi are among the specialised players that have also attracted investor interest.
With the latest funding, Kiddo aims to deepen its presence in Delhi NCR and build its technology and fulfilment network as demand for faster access to parenting essentials grows.
