Kidnapped, brutally beaten and burnt alive: New twist in influencer Manjeet Kaur murder case; Crime scene changed during police investigation – ..

A sensational case of rivalry and cruelty hidden behind the glamor of social media has come to light which has shaken the entire country. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) and the police probing the brutal murder of famous digital creator and social media influencer Manjeet Kaur have got such shocking clues, which have changed the direction of the entire case.

While in the initial investigation it was believed to be a quick murder in a deserted area, now from the forensic report, digital footprints and remand interrogation of the main accused, it has become clear that this entire incident was the result of a pre-planned criminal conspiracy. The victim was first abducted in a planned manner, after which she was held hostage for hours, beaten brutally and then burnt alive to destroy the evidence.

The most sensational aspect of this murder case is the new revelation that has come to light regarding the crime scene:

  • The initial story panned out: Police investigation has revealed that the murder did not take place on the highway side or in the deserted bushes where the half-burnt body was found on the first day of the incident. It was merely a ‘dumping yard’, where the body was brought to destroy evidence.

  • The real crime scene is somewhere else: According to the electronic surveillance received by the investigating agencies and the mobile tower location of the accused, Manjeet was kept hostage in a rented flat or private farmhouse located in the heart of the city.

  • Blood stains and marks of struggle: The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has collected blood samples, broken bangles, tufts of hair and signs of struggle from the primary crime scene. According to sources, after committing the crime, the killers tried to clean the room by washing it with chemicals and water, but the state-of-the-art Luminol test revealed deep traces of blood.

According to senior police officers involved in the investigation, this incident was not the work of a single individual but was carried out by an organized gang:

  • Kidnapping under planning: Manjeet was called to a fixed place on the pretext of some project, shoot or old acquaintance. The accused who were already waiting there forcibly pulled him into the car and immediately switched off his mobile.

  • Brutally tortured for hours: According to the initial opinion of the medical and post-mortem, serious marks of attack with sticks, sharp weapons and heavy blunt objects were found on the victim’s body. There were deep injuries on the ribs and head, indicating that the killers had subjected him to hours of brutal torture to extract a confession or digital password before he died.

  • Creepy confirmation of burning alive: Preliminary post-mortem examination of the viscera and lungs has indicated the presence of carbon particles (soot), which directly means that the victim was breathing when she was set on fire. The accused had sprayed petrol or inflammable substance to hide the identity.

The police have detained a total of four people in this case, including two suspects who were very close to Manjeet:

  • Suspicion of financial transactions and blackmailing: Sources say that there was a deep dispute going on for the last few months between the victim and the main suspect regarding huge earnings from social media, brand deals and some personal videos.

  • Clue found from Call Detail Records (CDR): The last call received on the victim’s phone just before the incident and the location data of the suspects are matching. Police are now conducting forensic investigation of WhatsApp chats, deleted messages and bank accounts of the accused so that the money trail and contract killing angle can be strengthened.

Senior police officers of the district have clarified that the investigation team has a strong chain of scientific evidence, CCTV footage and statements of eyewitnesses. Police say that a charge sheet will be filed against the accused under strict sections of murder (section 103 BNS/302 IPC), kidnapping, destruction of evidence and criminal conspiracy. The administration is preparing to get the entire case heard in a fast-track court and give strict punishment like death sentence to the accused.
