KKR looking for first win, GT on the verge of hat-trick of wins, where to watch the match
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has had the worst performance so far in this season of the Indian Premier League. If multiple-time champion KKR has to win its first match, it will have to defeat the in-form Gujarat Titans (GT). KKR, which has lost four of its five matches so far, is at number 10. At the same time, Gujarat Titans have kept themselves in the race by winning their last two matches. KKR, which is facing many problems, has to play this match at home in Gujarat, so this match is not going to be easy for them at all.
The impact of KKR’s poor performance has been such that even its captain Ajinkya Rahane has started pointing fingers. Be it chasing the target of runs or defending the runs scored, KKR has lost in every case. Results have come in four out of five matches so far. In two of these matches, KKR lost by chasing and in two matches it could not even save the runs it had scored.
KKR is proving to be a laggard in every aspect
KKR batted first in the two matches. Against Mumbai Indians, KKR had scored 220 runs losing 4 wickets but its bowlers could not defend even this target. At the same time, KKR scored 181 runs against Lucknow Super Giants but the bowling was so weak that Lucknow team also achieved this target.

In the matches where the opposition team batted first, KKR bowlers were beaten badly. Sunrisers team had scored 226 runs in front of KKR and KKR team was all out in 16 overs after scoring only 161 runs. Chennai Super Kings had scored 192 runs against KKR and KKR team could score only 160 runs.
In terms of scoring runs, Angkrish Raghuvanshi is the only KKR batsman in the top 10 despite playing 4 matches. In bowling, only Vaibhav Arora is in the top 10 and he too has taken only 6 wickets in 4 matches. By bowling in 4 matches, KKR bowlers have been able to dismiss only 24 batsmen of the opposition team.
Will GT score a hat-trick?
After losing the first two matches, Gujarat Titans team now seems to be back on track. With the return of its captain Shubman Gill, it has got a dose of victory and has won both the last matches. Shubhman Gill has played only three matches but has scored 165 runs. Apart from captain Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler and Washington Sundar are also batting well for Gujarat. Whereas Prasidh Krishna is at the forefront in bowling. In such a situation, Gujarat’s claim is being considered very strong at home.
