IND vs AFG: Afghan players made a big blunder in Mullanpur Test! KL Rahul got life support

Kl Rahul gets Life Line against Afghanistan: Today i.e. on 6th June, the only Test match is being played between India and Afghanistan at Mullanpur Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh. Where Indian captain Shubman Gill won the toss and decided to bat.

The start of Team India, who came to bat first, was not as expected. Afghanistan’s bowlers showed excellent discipline with the new ball and did not give the Indian openers a chance to play freely. It was not easy to score runs in the initial overs and both the openers had to bat with great caution.

India could have suffered an early blow due to Afghanistan’s tight bowling. In the sixth over of the innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s bat hit the edge, but the ball could not reach the fielder standing in the gully area. In this way he got the lease of life. However, he could not take much advantage of this opportunity and later failed to convert his innings into a big innings. Afghan bowlers continued to bowl on the right line and length, due to which there was pressure on the Indian batsmen. For this reason, India’s run rate also appeared relatively slow in the first hour.

KL Rahul got a big gift of life

A moment came in the 11th over of the Indian innings, which could have changed the course of the match. The very first ball of the over hit the outer edge of KL Rahul’s bat and the ball went straight into the gloves of the wicketkeeper. Afghanistan players made a strong appeal, but the umpire declared Rahul not out. The surprising thing was that the Afghan team did not decide to take DRS. Later, replays clearly showed that the ball had hit the bat and reached the wicketkeeper. At that time Rahul was batting on 16 runs and India’s score was 37 runs.

Jaiswal returned to the pavilion after scoring 24 runs. By the time he was out, the Indian team’s score was 41 runs. However, after the initial shock, KL Rahul and other batsmen tried to handle the situation. By the end of the first session, India had scored 96 runs at the loss of one wicket and the team seemed to be moving towards a strong position.
