Recalling his special association with the film, Sachin Tendulkar said that he used to watch Lagaan with his family and even after watching it several times, the thrill of the film did not diminish. He also revealed that during the making of the film, he helped Ashutosh Gowariker to record the real sounds of the cricket audience.
Sachin said, “About two years before the release of the film, you had asked me where the real voice of the audience would be found. Then I had said that we are playing against Australia in Mumbai. Come to Wankhede Stadium and record it, why not?”
Great cricket player Sachin Tendulkar wrote A.R. Rahman’s memorable music was also highly praised. He said that songs like “O Palanhare” even today fill the mind with peace and positivity.
