The 32-year-old player hailing from Andhra Pradesh had announced his retirement from international cricket on June 4, 2026. After this, information has now come to light that he is looking for short-term and long-term cricket opportunities in UAE. According to the report of Cricbuzz, an official of the Emirates Cricket Board has also confirmed that Bharat has reached Dubai and like other foreign players, will play cricket there.

It is being told that Bharat will currently play for Team Stallions in the local tournament of the Emirates Cricket Board. Apart from this, he is also eyeing a place in UAE’s T20 league ILT20.

KS Bharat made his debut for India against Australia in the Nagpur Test in February 2023. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, he played 7 test matches, scoring 221 runs in 12 innings.

However, he will not be able to play for the UAE national team immediately. According to ICC rules, a cooling-off period of three years has to be completed before representing an Associate country. Bharat played his last international match for India in February 2024. In such a situation, he will be eligible to play for the UAE team only after February 2027.
