Muzaffarnagar. Once again a big controversy has arisen regarding the politics and social fabric of Western UP. A statement given by Maulana Khalil-ur-Rehman Sajjad Nomani regarding the Jat community has created a new storm. During this program, Maulana claimed that the Jats of Western UP and Haryana have declared in a Mahapanchayat that they are not Hindus. They will soon accept the Sikh community. After this claim of Maulana, there has been huge anger in the Jat community and Jat Mahasabha. This statement is being strongly criticized from Muzaffarnagar to Delhi.

Jat Mahasabha gave open warning

After a video of Maulana’s statement went viral on social media, Muzaffarnagar District President Dharamveer Balyan of Jat Mahasabha has warned Maulana in very strong words. Balyan said that Maulana has lost his mind and does not even know the ‘ABCD’ of the history of any society. He clearly said that Jats are a martial community, which once disturbed is difficult to hold back. I would advise Maulana to take back his words and publicly apologize to the society. If some unpleasant incident happens tomorrow or someone from the society gets angry, then it will not be good. Referring to the 2013 riots, Balyan said that some people want to spoil the atmosphere again.

Caste does not change, this statement inspired by the government: Rakesh Tikait

At the same time, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has also given his reaction on this entire matter. Tikait said that the Jat community has definitely converted to Sikh, Muslim and Bishnoi sects in the past, but basically all are Hindus. He termed this statement as misleading to the public and said that it is completely inspired by the government. According to Tikait, a person’s religion can change, but his caste never changes. We and the Sikh community have always had a good rapport, and this statement is just an attempt to create division. Tikait sarcastically said that instead of making statements in the cities, the contractors of religion should go to the forests of Chhattisgarh, where large-scale conversion of tribals is taking place.

Maulana is not the only Muslim: Monu Malik

At the same time, national shooter Monu Malik said that a statement has been given by a Maulana on the Jat community that the Jat community is not Hindu, so will the Maulana do the work of distributing certificates to the Jat community. Find out how old the history of Jat society is. I feel that Maulana is not a Muslim, first he should give his certificate. Jat community has fought big battles. These Maulanas are working to divide religion and Hindu society.

Police keep a close eye on social media

In view of the tension created after this statement in Muzaffarnagar and surrounding districts, the local district administration has come on alert mode. The cyber cell of the police has been instructed to monitor the videos going viral on social media and the inflammatory comments on them round the clock. Along with this, to maintain law and order and mutual brotherhood in the district, the police administration is preparing to soon call an emergency meeting of a ‘peace committee’ with enlightened citizens of both the communities, so that any kind of rumor can be stopped from spreading.
