KSP Recruitment 2026: Recruitment for 1600 constable posts in Karnataka Police, golden opportunity for 12th pass.

Karnataka Police Jobs: Karnataka State Police (KSP) has started the online application process for recruitment to 1600 posts of Armed Police Constable (CAR/DAR). This is being considered a big opportunity for the youth preparing for jobs in the police department. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online till 22 July 2026.

The recruitment is being done to fill the vacant posts in various police units of the state. According to the official notification, out of the total 1,600 posts, 1,421 posts have been earmarked for the General Karnataka region and 179 posts have been earmarked for the Kalyana Karnataka region.

Recruitment for 1600 constable posts in Karnataka Police

To apply for these posts, the candidate must have passed PUC, 12th class or equivalent examination from a recognized board. The candidate must have proof of educational qualification by the last date of application. Candidates who are still waiting for the result of 12th or equivalent examination will not be eligible to apply.

Apart from this, the candidate must have studied Kannada language as first or second language at SSLC level or must have passed the Kannada Language Examination conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The minimum age has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age at 33 years.

Age will be calculated as on 22 July 2026. The government has also provided a lump sum relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit to the eligible candidates, while ex-servicemen will get an additional 3 years relaxation in the military service period.

12th pass candidates should apply till 22 July 2026

Under the selection process, the written examination will be conducted on 6 September 2026 from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. The application fee has been fixed at Rs 500 for general category and Rs 250 for other eligible categories. Candidates can deposit the fee till 24th July 2026. Selected candidates will get a salary ranging from Rs 37,500 to Rs 76,100 per month.

To apply, candidates have to register by visiting the official website of KEA, fill the required information, upload photo and signature, deposit the fee and keep a printout of the application form. This recruitment can prove to be an important opportunity for the youth who wish to make a career in police service.
