‘Celebrating a wonderful film’

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was mostly shot in Scotland. Before the film, no other major Indian production house had shot on such a large scale in the country. Johar shot at locations like Eilean Donan Castle, Glencoe, Tantallon Castle and Inchmahome Priory. Festival director Paul Ridd said organizers wanted to celebrate the much-loved film, which was shot in Scotland and stars some of Bollywood’s most famous stars. He said: “At EIFF we are always thinking about the future and what’s next. So we took this opportunity to launch a celebration of an iconic, much-loved film at our festival, one that stars some of the most famous stars of Scottish and Bollywood cinema on screen.”
