He scored a fluent 101 runs from 132 balls while remaining unbeaten on the second day, which enabled the East Zone to post a competitive total of 385/4 at stumps, having got out overnight on a stiff unbeaten 63.

While his Chepauk hundred showed flashes of maturity, Kushagra is no stranger to grabbing headlines. List A Performer: In 37 List-A matches, Kushagra has scored 1,276 runs at an average of 53.16, with a strike rate of 95.93, including two centuries and a career-best 143, and nine fifties.
T20 Batter: In 33 T20s, he has 694 runs at a strike rate of 145.18, with an unbeaten 86 being his best.
