On the occasion of Total Solution Day, a labor awareness and registration camp was organized by the Labor Department, Ambedkar Nagar in Tehsil Bhiti today. The objective of the camp was to provide information to the workers about the schemes run by the Labor Department and Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, to connect the eligible workers with the schemes and to make them aware of the employment and social security facilities available through digital medium.
In the camp, the workers and the general public present were given information regarding various beneficial schemes of Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, the process of labor registration and renewal and eligibility. Registration and renewal of eligible workers was done on the spot.
Along with this, while giving information regarding e-Shram Portal and Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, the eligibility, registration process and available benefits of the scheme were explained in detail. Eligible workers were motivated to avail the facilities related to e-Shram.
Special awareness was created about 'UP Digital Labor Chowk' app in the camp. Workers were told that through the app they can prepare their profiles and connect with available employment opportunities. During this, the app was downloaded in the mobile phones of the workers present and the process of completing the profile was explained on the spot.
The Labor Department appealed to the workers to keep their registration updated and avail the benefits of labor welfare and social security schemes run by the government as per the rules. Through the camp, necessary information and guidance was provided to the workers at one place, from registration to social security and digital employment opportunities.
