Ladakh Flower Gardens: Flowers are considered the ultimate measure of beauty. The views of the flower garden automatically attract people towards themselves. Two big flower fields spread over 40 acres have been prepared in Choglamsar and Stukna area of Leh, situated in the lap of Himalayas, where more than 25 lakh flowers have been planted.

These include more than 24 lakh lilium flowers and about 1 lakh gladiolus flowers. This flower garden has been opened for the general public from today, 18th September. These twin flower fields were inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Vinai Kumar Saxena on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday. The administration claims that these are the world's highest Twin Flower Fields.
Tourists can enter this unique flower garden for only Rs 25, while the ticket for children has been kept at Rs 10. According to the administration, the income from tickets will be used for the maintenance and upkeep of the garden.
Plantation work was started in Choglamsar from July 16. After about 2 months, in the first week of September, flowers started blooming here. At the same time, about 14 lakh Lilium saplings have been planted in Stukna since August and they are expected to bloom by the end of October. These flowers decorated in yellow, white, orange and red colors are presenting a very beautiful view amidst the brown hills of Ladakh. This is the reason why this place can become a new attraction for tourists.
