Lakhimpur Kheri Man Killed Himself After Shooting Girlfriend’s Brother: A heart-wrenching incident of a sensational love affair turning into a bloody incident has come to light from Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh. A young man, who was in love with his neighbor’s sister, ran away from home four days ago and tried to get married in a temple or court, but after opposition from the police and family, the matter turned into a bloody feud. The dispute that started over a minor dispute between the opposite houses of the two families at around 7 am on Friday morning quickly turned into a bloody game. In a fit of rage, lover Idris shot his girlfriend’s brother Akhilesh in the stomach with a pistol and when the sensation spread, he committed suicide by placing a pistol on his own temple. Due to this sensational incident, there is an atmosphere of panic in the entire area and seriously injured Akhilesh has been referred from the district hospital to Lucknow, where his condition remains very critical. 4 days ago, the boyfriend and girlfriend had run away from home. 38-year-old Idris, living in Dulhi village of Padhua police station area of Lakhimpur Kheri, and the sister of Akhilesh, who lived opposite to him, were having a love affair for a long time. The houses of both were just 20 meters away from each other, due to which it was common for them to meet each other. About four days ago, i.e. on 14th September, Idris had run away from home with his girlfriend (Akhilesh’s sister). In this case, the girl’s family had filed a case of kidnapping and sexual exploitation in the police station. When the police became active, the police recovered both of them on Thursday itself, after which there was severe tension and rivalry burning between the two families. Dispute at 7 in the morning, shot in the stomach On the day of the incident, at around 7 in the morning on Friday, Akhilesh was sitting outside his house washing his face, when the accused Idris also came out of his house. An old grudge, argument and abuse started between the two regarding the dispute of the last four days. The people around thought that this was an ordinary family quarrel, so no one paid any attention. After a heated argument that lasted for about half an hour, Idris ran inside his house in anger and came out with a country-made pistol. He openly threatened to kill Akhilesh and when that did not work, he fired a bullet directly into Akhilesh’s stomach, due to which he fell on the ground bleeding. Then he fired the pistol at his own temple. On hearing the sound of the bullet, people from both the families and the villagers ran to the spot. When people asked Idris what he had done, he got scared or lost his temper in anger. He placed the same illegal pistol to his own temple and pressed the trigger. The bullet passed through his head and Idris collapsed on the village road, drenched in blood, dying on the spot. As soon as the information was received, there was panic in the police department and the police force quickly reached the spot. Injured Akhilesh was immediately taken to the district hospital, where in view of his serious condition, he was referred to Lucknow.
