Land survey will start in cities of Bihar, flat owners will also get big benefits

Patna. After land survey in rural areas of Bihar, now special land survey will be conducted in urban areas also. 264 municipal bodies of the state will be under the scope of this campaign. The aim of the government is to update the old land records and clarify the ownership rights of the land.

The most important thing about urban land survey is related to multi-storey buildings and flats. During the survey, not only the record of the flat will be recorded in the name of the flat owner, but the details of his proportionate and statutory share in the land will also be recorded. This is expected to reduce future disputes over ownership of land or flats.

Mapping will be done with drone and GPS

Modern technology will be used for land measurement in urban areas. Mapping of land boundaries will be done through drones and GPS and after survey, land parcel map will be made available to the concerned tenants. If there is any mistake or objection in the record, people will also get a chance to register it as per the prescribed procedure.

There will be big benefit in cities including Patna

In cities like Patna, many problems have been arising for a long time due to old land records. The new survey is expected to create a digital record of land extent and ownership. This will reduce dependence on old documents and make land records more organized.

Along with the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, officers and employees of municipal bodies will also be involved in this survey. Necessary information related to the survey will also be made available on the ward offices and websites of the concerned municipal bodies.
