Mumbai Two people are feared dead and six to eight others are trapped in a landslide that occurred early Wednesday morning in Mumbai's Kurla area following heavy rains. According to officials, the landslide incident occurred at Gausia Chawl in Chirag Nagar at 3.48 am. He said that teams of fire department, police, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), ambulance service and ward staff of the civic body are deployed at the spot and search and rescue operations are going on. An official said that two people are feared dead in this accident.

According to the officer, Sohail Ansari (18) sustained injuries on his head and Mohammad Ansari (14) sustained injuries on his back in the incident. Both are being treated at Bhabha Hospital in Kurla. The officer said that the condition of both is stable. Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde also reached the spot and took stock of the ongoing search and rescue operation there.
