Talha Saeed, son of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist and 26/11 attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed, has again spewed venom against India and has also openly praised Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir. He claimed that Asim Munir had “once again revived” the ideas of “faith, piety and jihad in the path of Allah”.
In his speech, Talha Saeed praised Munir and said that he is a Hafiz of the Quran and he was happy that Pakistan has got such an Army Chief and Field Marshal who has memorized the holy book. He also claimed that Munir has revived the ideas of “Iman, Taqwa and Jihad” i.e. faith, piety and jihad.
Hafiz Talha Saeed, son of UN-designated terrorist and LeT founder Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, said these things during a public meeting in Sheikhupura, Pakistan. A video of this meeting has also surfaced.
These comments of Talha Saeed are important in view of the long standing allegations regarding the space given to banned terrorist organizations and their leaders in Pakistan. Talha Saeed spewed venom against India, saying he and others have vowed to wage “jihad” and will continue the campaign as long as they are alive and capable of doing so. “We are the same people who have pledged to wage jihad,” he said, and claimed they were ready to make more sacrifices.
Talking about India, Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed's son claimed that Muslims had ruled the subcontinent for 500 years and questioned whether those ruling from Delhi had forgotten whose Delhi it was. “Muslims ruled India for 500 years,” he said, adding that his view was based on historical facts. Talha Saeed's public appearance and speech has once again drawn attention to the fact that despite Lashkar being a banned organisation, people associated with the Pakistan-based terrorist network continue to appear in public.
