LeBron James has a plan for new free-agency saga

For the first time in eight years — and the fourth in his career — LeBron James is the biggest fish in NBA free agency.

That’s clearly a testament to his greatness at 42, but people should know what to expect by now.

There will be plenty of smoke and several suitors for his services, and it might be a while before people know where he’s heading.

According to ESPN insider Dave McMenamin, James wants to test the waters and evaluate each team’s pitch before making a decision.

LeBron James will keep his options open

“LeBron James has instructed Rich Paul to talk to everyone around the league who is interested in him playing for them and come back to him with what the options are so he can make his decision, a source familiar with James’ thinking told ESPN,” McMenamin shared on X.
