Lessons from the 2024 narrative! Has Nitin Naveen ended the factionalism of UP BJP?

The political narrative that caused the most damage to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections 2024 was the alleged differences and factionalism between the government and the organization. The opposition continuously tried to convey the message during the elections that there is no coordination between the central and state leadership. Now, amid preparations for the 2027 assembly elections, BJP seems to be working on a strategy to end the same perception. Nitin Naveen’s first visit to Uttar Pradesh after becoming the national president was not limited to only organizational meetings, but the effort of giving the message of unity between the government and the organization was clearly visible in the entire program.

During the Lok Sabha elections, the opposition continuously raised the issue that the government and organizations are not of one accord in Uttar Pradesh. Various types of discussions regarding the Chief Minister, both the Deputy Chief Ministers and the organization became a part of the election atmosphere. Political experts believe that BJP is now working on a strategy to completely end the same narrative before 2027.

Unity was seen from meetings to public programs

During the two-day visit, Nitin Naveen first held a meeting with senior officials of the organization. After this he met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and spoke separately to both the Deputy Chief Ministers Brijesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya. The strength of the organization, election preparation and better coordination between the government and the organization were discussed in the meetings.

The most important political message of the tour emerged from public events. Nitin Naveen attended the Mango party of Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak in the afternoon. After this, in the evening, in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he also attended the dinner organized at the residence of Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya. These programs are being seen as a strategy by BJP to give the message of unity.

Emphasis on coordination between organization and government

Since this was the first visit to Uttar Pradesh after becoming the national president, every activity of Nitin Naveen was considered important from the political point of view. The sequence of meetings, meetings with different leaders and presence in joint programs tried to indicate that better coordination between the government and the organization would be the basis of BJP’s upcoming election strategy.

After handing over the command of the state BJP to Pankaj Chaudhary, the efforts to strengthen the organization up to the booth level have been intensified. In Nitin Naveen’s visit also, special emphasis was seen on activating the organization, strengthening coordination between the government and the organization and speeding up the preparations for the 2027 assembly elections.

BJP’s big message for 2027

Political analysts believe that Nitin Naveen’s visit was not limited to just formal meetings. Through this, BJP tried to give the message that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, both the Deputy Chief Ministers, the organization and the central leadership are completely united. The party does not want any narrative of differences between the government and the organization to become an election issue again like in 2024. This is the reason why efforts to convey the message of ‘One Team, One Mission-2027’ were clearly visible from every platform, from meetings to public programs.
