Life ended in Saryu of Gola: Farmer’s dead body found on Visra bank, chaos in the family

gorakhpur26 May. Saryu river took away the happiness of a family on Tuesday. 58 year old farmer Surajbhan Yadav, resident of Ward No. 5 Visra of Golaupnagar, died due to drowning in Saryu river. After his dead body was found on the river bank on Tuesday morning, there was a wave of mourning in the entire village, while there was chaos in the family. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem.
According to the information, Surajbhan Yadav, son of Ambika Yadav, resident of Visra, used to support his family by farming. He left home on Monday afternoon, but did not return till late evening. When he did not reach home even after a long time, the family members became worried. After this the family members started searching for him. Throughout the night the family members searched at other possible places including the river bank, but no trace of them was found.
On Tuesday morning, the family members once again reached the Vishera bank of Saryu river while searching. Meanwhile, a dead body was seen floating in the river. On going closer, the body was identified as that of Surajbhan Yadav. As soon as the dead body was identified, there was an outcry among the family members and within no time a huge crowd of villagers gathered at the spot.
The clothes of the deceased were found lying on the river bank near the spot. There were also visible marks of foot slipping on the shore. Villagers expressed apprehension that Surajbhan Yadav may have become unbalanced while bathing and went into deep water, due to which he died due to drowning.
On receiving information about the incident, police and revenue department teams reached the spot. The police completed the necessary legal procedure and sent the body for post-mortem.
The deceased left behind his family. He has three daughters and all three are married. After the incident, there is mourning in the house and the family members are in bad condition, crying.
Police station in-charge Prahlad Singh said that the body has been sent for post-mortem and further necessary action is being taken.
