According to the information, the youth had left home at around 10 am on Friday morning and reached Khavadya hill. As soon as his parents came to know about this, they also reached there and started convincing him to return home. Not only this, within some time police, fire brigade, villagers and local sarpanch also reached the spot. During this time, efforts were made for about three hours to convince the young man and bring him down safely.
Sarpanch also tried to explain
The local sarpanch talked to the youth and tried to convince him to return. He assured him that the things he needed would be provided and appealed to him to go to the village. However, despite this the young man was not ready to come down from the hill. The Sarpanch further said that "Nothing will be gained by jumping, if nothing else then live for mother." But the young man did not agree and remained adamant on his decision. On the other hand, the rescue team also tried to install a safety net below the hill to stop the young man safely. However, the young man was constantly changing his place around the shore. Because of this, it was becoming difficult for the rescue team to guess from which place he could jump down.
Father also fell while trying to save his son
According to Waluj MIDC police, around 1 pm, the young man's father slowly approached him. He was trying to pull his son back from the edge. Meanwhile, the young man suddenly fell down and while trying to save him, the father also lost his balance and fell down the hill. Seeing this scene, the young man's mother also could not control herself and she also jumped from the hill and all three died in the accident.
Let us tell you, after the incident, the police and rescue team have recovered the bodies of all three. The bodies have been sent for necessary legal process. At present the police is investigating the matter and information related to the family dispute is also being collected.
