US police arrested 30 Indians on charges of living illegally in America. All of them reportedly used to drive commercial trucks there. According to sources, Donald Trump’s government is making arrangements to send them back soon.
A statement was issued by US Customs and Border Protection on Monday. It has been reported that Border Patrol agents conducted ‘Operation Checkmate’ in the Yuma sector of Arizona between May 11 and 15. A total of 52 illegal immigrants were arrested then. 36 of them are truck drivers. 30 Indians among them. The rest are citizens of Mexico, Salvador and Russia. California, New York, Washington and Virginia driver’s licenses were obtained from the arrested. Many had no license at all.
It is learned that employment permits have been recovered from the arrested, they are expired. They were awarded during the Joe Biden administration. According to sources, action has been taken against them as per federal law and they will be sent back to their respective countries. It should be noted that the ‘infiltrating raid’ has started in America since Donald Trump took office for the second time. Hundreds of illegal immigrants have been shipped out of the US on military planes. ‘Operation Checkmate’ is part of that campaign.
