New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 57th convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi on Saturday. Addressing the students, he wished them a bright future. Modi said that convocation is an important milestone in a student’s life, as it marks the beginning of a journey filled with new possibilities and responsibilities.

Addressing the students, the Prime Minister said that every student graduating from an institution like IIT Delhi is not just carrying a degree, but also carrying with them many dreams and goals. He said that every student has different questions and hopes for the future. Now they have the opportunity to realize their dreams and contribute to the country’s development.

Congratulations to students for their achievements
During the convocation, PM Modi congratulated students who received medals for various achievements. He specifically mentioned the number of female students, saying that the number of female awardees should have been higher. The Prime Minister said that the country’s daughters are advancing in every field and there is a need to further strengthen their participation in education and technology.
The Prime Minister reminded the students that every generation has its own national responsibility. He said that the role of youth is crucial in the goal of making India a developed nation. According to him, young people graduating from IITs can give the country a new direction through their expertise, innovation, and technical capabilities.
The world outside campus is different.
PM Modi advised students that there is a significant difference between college and the real world outside campus. He stated that students will now face new challenges and will need to draw on their knowledge as well as experience. Furthermore, during the event, the Prime Minister honored meritorious students and advised them to fully embrace this special occasion. He also inaugurated “Param Pragya,” an AI-based high-performance supercomputing facility on the IIT campus. This facility is considered an important step toward promoting research related to artificial intelligence and high-end computing.
