The market for bodybuilding, sports nutrition and protein supplements in India has grown rapidly in the last few years, but with it has also come a flood of counterfeit and poor quality products: Dampness and poor storage in warehouses: Many times, proper temperature and hygiene are not maintained from manufacturing to distribution centers, due to which fungus and insects (Weevils/Larvae) start growing inside the containers. Falsification of expiry date: Many unauthorized vendors paste new expiry date labels on old stock and sell it in the name of discount on online e-commerce platforms. Fake sealing game: Many rackets of selling local and poor quality powder in original containers have already been caught by the police and FDA.
