Lock Upp 2: Apoorva Mukhija Demands Apology from Shreya Kalra, Rekindles Their ‘Squid Game’ Feud

The unexpected exchange revived a long-standing disagreement between the two influencers, dating back to their participation in Netflix’s Squid Game: Creators Edition last year.

Apoorva’s Entry Sparks Instant Drama

Introduced by host Farah Khan, Apoorva made a dramatic entry into the Lock Upp house. Moments after stepping inside, she turned to Shreya Kalra and said, “Sorry bolo” (Apologise).

The remark appeared to reference an earlier incident in the show where Shreya had insisted fellow contestants apologise before receiving food, adding another layer of tension to their first interaction inside the house.

How the Rivalry Began

The disagreement between Apoorva and Shreya began during Squid Game: Creators Edition, where both contestants competed on the same team. Although Shreya eventually won the competition, she later criticised Apoorva’s performance during an appearance on Uorfi Javed’s podcast.

Shreya claimed Apoorva did not contribute enough during the tasks and accused her of lacking enthusiasm for the competition. She also suggested that Apoorva appeared uninterested and carried an arrogant attitude during the show.

Her remarks generated significant discussion on social media, with many users defending Apoorva and criticising Shreya’s comments.

Apoorva’s Response

Apoorva later addressed the controversy through her Instagram Stories, saying she enjoyed participating in the show despite not excelling in physical challenges.

She remarked that although her coordination was “non-existent,” she had fun during the competition and believed viewers enjoyed watching her. Without directly responding to every allegation, she indicated that the criticism only brought more attention to her appearance on the show.

Gang Leaders Turn Rivals into Teammates

Adding a twist to the competition, Lock Upp has now divided contestants into gangs. Ironically, Apoorva has been appointed the leader of the same group that includes Shreya Kalra.

As gang leader, Apoorva will have the authority to decide food distribution and assign responsibilities to her teammates, placing the two rivals in close quarters throughout the competition.

Viewers will now be watching closely to see whether the contestants resolve their differences or continue their rivalry inside the house.

Why Apoorva Joined Lock Upp

Speaking about joining the reality show, Apoorva admitted she was initially hesitant after previously deciding not to participate in another captive-format reality series.

However, she revealed that she had become an avid viewer of Lock Upp and eventually accepted the opportunity.

Apoorva said she entered the show to compete rather than build friendships, adding that she intends to focus entirely on the game.
