Lock Up: Sach Ya Sazaa contestant Pamala Serena has taken the internet by storm after admitting that she used to bet on cricket matches while she was a student.
During the latest episode, which premiered on Netflix on Saturday, July 25, the 34-year-old content creator shared a personal secret after pressing the buzzer ahead of Sufi Motiwala to secure immunity from elimination during the weekly Judgment Day round.
Asked to disclose her secret, Pamala was stunned when “match fixing” appeared on the screen. She then explained that while she was in college, a friend who was close to several cricketers provided her with insider tips, which she used to place bets through bookies.
“When I was a student, I had a friend. He was close friends with several cricketers. And he used to get tips about who would win, who would score. The information came straight from the team. In London, we have bookies where you can gamble and make bets. So, I took tips from my friend, then I placed bets. I made a lot of money. But I am not proud of it,” she confessed.
Defending her actions, Pamala clarified that betting is legal in London. She admitted that while she enjoyed it at the time and was tempted by the prospect of making easy money as a student, she later realised it was not the right way to earn a living.

Born in the UK to Indian parents, the internet personality relocated to Dubai in 2012. She is best known for starring in Netflix’s Dubai Bling after winning the titles of Ms Universe Dubai 2021 and Ms UAE World 2022.
