Had to work a lot on myself for the film: Saanvi Talwar!
Praising her team, the actress said that the psychological, emotional and dramatic scenes were very challenging, but due to a supportive director, cinematographer and a courageous team, all this was done very easily.
Talking about his character, he said, “As an actor, I got a chance to explore many different shades through the character. The series included thriller, psychological drama, family emotions, split personality, horror and intense emotional moments. When you get to perform so many layers in a single project, it becomes a fun experience.”
IANS asked the actress a question, “You have played both positive and negative characters. What do you like most about playing negative roles?”
The actress said, “Negative characters are challenging and fun. Television family dramas often revolve around emotional scenes, but negative characters give you a chance to experiment with different emotions. That’s what makes such roles special.”
Negative characters or ‘vamp’ roles in Indian television serials have always made the stories exciting. Komolika played by Urvashi Dholakia and Ramola Sikand played by Sudha Chandran are the biggest examples of this.
On this, IANS asked the actress a question, “Do you think that today’s negative characters can have the same impact as the iconic roles of earlier iconic villains?”
Actress Saanvi Talwar said, “I completely agree with you. Times have changed and the preferences of the audience are also changing. Earlier, people used to have less options for entertainment, so they used to stay connected with TV characters for a long time. In today’s time, people have more options. That is why people cannot give so long time to a character, no matter how good the performance is.”
