‘Look at the face of a 17 year old terrorist’, Rahul Gandhi meets CBSE students, cornered the government

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi met Vedant Srivastava, a 17-year-old student who came into limelight due to the on-screen marking (OSM) controversy of the Central Council of Secondary Education (CBSE). Both of them attacked the government and the people trolling them on those issues, due to which people were even calling them Pakistani.

Because of speaking on CBSE and OSM, Vedant Srivastava was given words like traitor, terrorist, Soros agent and Pakistani. Rahul Gandhi slammed the people who troll and abuse and said that at least show the faces of 17 year old ‘terrorists’.

Who is Vedanta whom Rahul Gandhi met?

Vedant is a resident of Delhi. He had told that CBSE had sent him the wrong answer sheet of Physics, whose handwriting was not his own. Later the board accepted the mistake and emailed the correct sheet and the result was updated. 17 year old student Sarthak Siddhant is also in the headlines in this case. Big questions were raised by writing a blog on OSM tender process.

Now what has happened so far in this matter?

Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders have demanded an investigation. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has taken full responsibility. Now he has said that such mistakes will not happen. This controversy has come at a time when questions are already being raised on the examination system due to NEET paper leak and technical problems in CUET. Rahul Gandhi said that promising and courageous youth like Vedant are the future of the country. He should have got an answer instead of insult.
