Match number eight in the Delhi Premier League 2026 between Outer Delhi Warriors and New Delhi Tigers saw incredible scenes as the match ended up being tied, needing a super over to determine the winner. The game, which was reduced to 15 overs per side, saw the Tigers bat first and post 156. Opener Lakshay Thareja stayed not out on 62, which came off 41 balls with five boundaries and three sixes. Himmat played a brilliant knock of 25-ball 61 runs with four boundaries and five sixes. 

Priyansh Arya was out after amassing just a single, while fellow opener Yajas Sharma top-scored with 52 off 25 balls. He hit five boundaries and four maximums. Monu Shukla then added runs towards the end of the innings with his 17-ball 45. 

In the other match on Tuesday, West Delhi Lions overcame South Delhi Superstarz by five wickets. South Delhi batted first and were bowled out for 160 with Sanat Sangwan and Pranshu Vijayran accumulating 26 each. Mayank Gusain was the best bowler for the West Delhi team, recording figures of 3/13 from his 4 overs. 

Skipper Ayush Doseja’s 44 off 27 balls ensured the Lions won the game with 11 balls to spare. Opener Krish Yadav was the next best scorer with 41 runs, which came off 36 balls, while Nitish Rana managed 32 runs from 25 balls with five boundaries and a six.
