Lucknow: As the investigation of the double murder and suicide case that took place in Lucknow on Thursday is progressing, new aspects are coming to light. The police is now investigating the ongoing divorce and money dispute between the husband and wife as possible reasons for the incident. Let us tell you, 38-year-old Manas Vajpayee had allegedly shot his wife Divya Mishra outside the bank in Gomti Nagar. After this he also killed his sister Shiva and then committed suicide by shooting himself.
According to police sources, Manas and Divya were married about 12 years ago. Both of them were living separately for more than a year. Divya had filed an application for divorce in the court last year. It is being told that under the agreement, he had demanded a maintenance allowance of about Rs 1 crore.
Police found documents related to legal proceedings
During the investigation, the police also found documents related to the legal proceedings of divorce. Along with this, it has also come to light that this case was heard in the court only two days before the incident. During this time there was also discussion regarding the amount of maintenance allowance. Now investigators are trying to find out whether this dispute had any direct connection with the incident.

There was dispute regarding sister also
Let us tell you, Manas's 28 year old sister Shiva also lived with him. It is being told that she was suffering from mental health problems. According to people associated with the family, there were many disputes between Manas and Divya regarding living with Shiva. Divya's sister Pragya Mishra has made serious allegations against Manas on social media. She claims that Manas used to beat Divya over small matters. He also raised the question from where Manas got the weapons.

According to the police, on the day of the incident, Manas had called Divya to meet him outside ICICI Bank. There was a brief conversation between the two and after this he allegedly shot Divya. On reaching the hospital, doctors declared him dead. After this Manas reached his home and shot his sister Shiva also. After some time he committed suicide by shooting himself. The police are now investigating the divorce and maintenance dispute as well as alleged domestic violence, arrangement of weapons and the WhatsApp status made before the incident.
