Starting his official statement, Madhur wrote, ‘I sincerely apologize for my video which is going viral online these days. This video is of one of my live performances about two years ago. Immediately after that performance, I deeply realized my mistake. This was the reason why I removed it from my platforms at that time. Long before this video started going viral again recently. However, this video cannot be shared due to objectionable comments.

Taking his point further, Madhur admitted that maturity is required to touch some topics. He wrote, ‘I have always believed that comedy can question society’s views and engage with difficult or dark subjects. But some very sensitive topics require sensitivity, right reference and taking right decisions. When such an attempt fails completely, the only way to be honest is to accept your mistake, apologize wholeheartedly and try to do better in the future. For me, this moment is one of those moments of introspection.
