Maharashtra : A horrific road accident incident has come to light in Maharashtra’s Beed district. There was a huge collision between a car and an ST bus near Shindewadi Fata on the Khamgaon-Pandharpur National Highway in Majalgaon taluk. Five members of the same family are reported to have died in the accident, while one person is reported to have been injured.
According to preliminary information, a family from Majalgaon city was going for Tuljapur darshan. Meanwhile, Avinash Dada Bansode’s car met with an accident near Shindewadi Fata’s petrol pump. According to the preliminary information given by the people present at the spot, five people including Gajanan Namdas died on the spot.

Local people blocked the road after the accident
Crowds of people had gathered at the scene as soon as the accident was reported. After the accident, local people took to the road and protested by blocking the road. Following this incident, a feeling of mourning has spread throughout the area. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigation. However, official information regarding the exact cause of the accident and other details regarding the incident is awaited.
Locals allege substandard road construction
Local people have raised questions against the quality of construction of the Majalgaon-Telgaon-Dharur road on the Khamgaon-Pandharpur National Highway. He alleges that many accidents have happened here in the past as the construction of the road is of poor quality. According to locals, some parts of the road are rough and have cracks at several places. On this issue, people have demanded to register a case against the contractor who constructed the road.
The police started investigating the cause of the accident
According to preliminary reports, the accident took place near Shindewadi Phata at around 11 am. Five people, including Gajanan Namdas of Majalgaon, who were traveling in the car, were reported dead, while one person was injured. Currently, the police are investigating to find out the exact reason behind the accident.
