Maharashtra Cabinet Decisions: 6 shocking decisions of Fadnavis government; Water problem will be solved forever
Maharashtra Cabinet Decisions: An important meeting of the State Council of Ministers was held today in Mantralaya under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. As many as 6 bold decisions were taken by the Fadnavis government in this meeting. These decisions have been taken related to medical education, water supply, information technology, rural development and local self-government bodies.
1) State-of-the-art medical cyclotron project to be set up in Nagpur
The Cabinet approved setting up of High Energy Medical Cyclotron Project (NHECP) at Nagpur to make medical diagnosis more accurate and modern. This is the first of its kind project in Central India and will provide advanced technology for diagnosis of various serious diseases including cancer. Maharashtra Cabinet Decisions
2) Rural Drinking Water Policy 2026 announced
It was decided to implement the Maharashtra Rural Drinking Water Policy-2026 to permanently solve the problem of drinking water in the rural areas of the state. The policy emphasizes sustainable water resources, clean and quality water supply and long-term planning.
3) Promotion of drones and robotics
Maharashtra Unmanned Systems Policy-2026 was announced in the state. This will give a big boost to the development, research and training of drone and robotics technology for agriculture, security, industry, maritime and aerospace sectors.
4) Establishment of a separate company for Bharatnet
For effective implementation of the Bharatnet program in the state, approval was given to set up a special purpose company, Mahanet Digital Infrastructure Limited (MDIL). This has paved the way for stronger digital connectivity in rural areas.
Amendments to the Employment Guarantee Act
5) The Cabinet approved necessary amendments to the Maharashtra Employment Guarantee Act, 1977 for effective implementation of the ‘Vikasit Bharat-Ji Ram Ji’ scheme. Necessary ordinance will also be issued for this. Maharashtra Cabinet Decisions
6) Extension of six months for Caste Validity Certificate
The Cabinet decided to extend the deadline by another six months for submission of Caste Validity Certificates to the representatives elected on reserved seats in local bodies. Necessary amendments in relevant laws were also approved for this purpose.
