Maharashtra MPSC Drug Inspector Paper Leak: A very shocking and filmy mode has come out in case of paper leak in drug inspector recruitment exam in Maharashtra. Usually paper leak scandals come out of financial transactions or black market, but in this case the paper leak was revealed because of an alleged love affair and subsequent breakup. A young man arranged papers for his girlfriend to pass the exam. But after the girlfriend broke up with the young man after clearing the exam, the boyfriend in Khunnas himself reported the entire scam to the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested 6 people in this case.
How did the paper leak scandal unfold?
The exam for the recruitment of Drug Inspector was conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission on March 22. The result of this exam was announced in the month of July. However, shortly after the results came out, the commission got the basis information that the paper was leaked. Considering the seriousness of the issue, the commission canceled the exam and approached the Mumbai Police. After an intensive investigation conducted under the direct supervision of Mumbai Crime Branch DCP Rajatilak Roshan, the police have so far arrested 6 prime suspects.
Boyfriend arranges paper for girlfriend to pass
According to the details revealed by the Mumbai Crime Branch investigation, one of the arrested accused, a youth named Gaurav Rajendra Patil, had a romantic relationship with a girl named Rituja Patil. As Rituja wanted to crack the exam, Gaurav allegedly got the exam paper in advance using his contacts. Gaurav provided this paper to Rituja as well as some other candidates, on the basis of which Rituja successfully cleared the exam. But after the result of the exam, there was a rift between Rituja and Gaurav and the two broke up.
After the breakup, the boyfriend got angry and emailed the MPSC
According to police sources, upset and angry over the break-up, Gaurav reported the paper leak to the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) to teach Rituja a lesson. The MPSC officials immediately approached the Mumbai Police Commissioner after this complaint and the investigation of the case was handed over to the Crime Branch. The crime branch busted the scam by extending the probe based on technical surveillance and evidence.
Father and 6 accused associated with MPSC arrested
A total of 6 accused have been arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch in this whole scam, whose names are as follows:

Praveen Dilip Patil
Gaurav Rajendra Patil (Boyfriend)
Amrit Namdev Patil (Rituja’s father)
According to the police, accused Amrit Patil is Rituja’s father. Some of the arrested accused were found to be directly involved with the Maharashtra Public Service Commission or the examination process. The police have also issued a notice to Rituja Patil to join the investigation. The Fort Court has sent all the 6 accused to the police custody of Mumbai Crime Branch till September 2. The crime branch is currently conducting further investigations into how many other candidates or officials are involved in the scam.
