Mahesh Bhatt gushed over his granddaughter Raha’s lively personality and predicted that one day she will achieve even greater things than her famous parents, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
Speaking to The Times of India on Saturday, August 8, the 77-year-old retired Indian film director raved about the three-year-old celebrity kid’s captivating and vibrant energy at such a young age.
“She’ll outdistance Ranbir Kapoor and Alia by miles. She’s different. She has a different vibe. When she comes, the whole house becomes hostage to her energy. For those few hours, she becomes the centre of everything,” Mahesh said.
During his visit to Raha’s school alongside Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, for Grandparents’ Day, he noted that Raha reminds him of a younger version of his eldest daughter, Pooja Bhatt.
The Sadak director added, “I recently went with Neetu (Kapoor) to her school for her Grandparents’ Day. Soni was in Istanbul. We were walking through a cloud of soap bubbles. I was holding Raha’s hand while Neetu was holding the other. It was a beautiful moment. That was something which I remember doing with only Pooja. It brought back memories of walking with Pooja when she was little. Suddenly, time collapsed. She is a vibrant version of Pooja. (Eventually) The same kind of family.”
When did Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcome Raha?
Alia and Ranbir, who exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at their residence in Bandra, Mumbai, on April 14, 2022, welcomed Raha on November 6 of the same year. They introduced her to the world a year later, when she turned one.
