Mahindra ATV: Mahindra & Mahindra’s SUV Thar has always been the choice of off-roading enthusiasts in India. Now the company has introduced a special tactical avatar of it, which was recently shared by Anand Mahindra on social media platform X.
Special design made for work
This Mahindra ATV, developed in collaboration with Bengaluru-based Prad 4×4, is completely based on functional design. There is no focus on appearance or luxury in this, rather it has been specially designed to work in difficult conditions. Anand Mahindra describes it as a “no-nonsense, mission-ready machine”.

This ATV has been specially designed keeping in mind the use of security forces. It has been made capable of operations like airdrop. It has the facility to carry gun mount, underbody armour, windshield protector, front winch, jerrycan holder and spare tyre. All these features make it reliable even in the toughest conditions.
Powerful engine and strong build
This ATV is based on the diesel platform of Mahindra Thar Roxx. It has a 2.2-liter engine, which generates power of 172hp and torque of 400Nm. Instead of a traditional cabin, it has been given a strong roll cage, which makes it lighter and more safe.
Advanced features for off-roading
It has steel wheels with RT-grade tyres, heavy-duty metal bumpers and tow shackles. There is also a tandem tire carrier and jerrycan mount at the rear. The company claims that this ATV can work easily in all types of difficult terrains.
Overall, the Mahindra ATV is a powerful and mission-ready vehicle, specifically designed for defense and off-road operations.
