Mahindra Vision SXT Design Patent Leaked; Off-road SUV known as ‘Baby Scorpio-N’ coming soon?
Mahindra presented four concepts based on the new modular monocoque platform ‘NU_IQ’ during its ‘Freedom NU’ event in August 2025. These included the Vision S, Vision T, Vision X and Vision SXT. While the Vision S car is currently being tested on the roads, now the design patent photos of the ‘Vision SXT’ have been leaked on the internet. This suggests that Mahindra is preparing to launch a special off-road SUV on the same platform, which may look similar to the ‘baby Scorpio-N’.
The design in the patent
Looking at the design in the patent, this model is very similar to the original concept. The front of the car features a vertical design, a rectangular grille with vertical bars and sleek headlights at the top at the corners. The bonnet of the car is flat and the front bumper comes with a strong and skid plate, which gives the car great off-roading capabilities.

Structure of the vehicle
Coming to the side profile of the car, it offers square wheel arches, large all-terrain tyres, flat roofline and good ground clearance. Also, there are thick tubular bars for protection and strong side steps for climbing. The original concept showed two spare tires (spare wheels) on the back, but the patent shows a single tire on the back for production convenience.

Special features of the car
Mahindra’s ‘NU_IQ’ platform is highly flexible and has been developed for petrol, diesel and electric engines. It will be available with front-wheel, rear-wheel and all-wheel drive options. If Mahindra were to launch the Vision SXT model, it would be a powerful four-by-four SUV aimed primarily at off-roading enthusiasts.
