All eyes are on Yash’s Toxic, which is all set for release on August 26, 2026. The film’s teasers, trailer and songs have already grabbed the attention of the audience, especially for the intimate scenes featuring Yash and Kiara Advani.
The actor is currently busy promoting the film and was seen in Aap Ki Adalat, where he will answer questions from senior journalist Rajat Sharma.
Several clips from the show have gone viral. In the show, a young girl asked Yash about violence and sex scenes in movies and how Gen Z is often blamed when youngsters are influenced by such content. Responding to the question, the actor said that every older generation feels the next one is spoiled, but the world belongs to youngsters.
Talking about vulgarity in films, Yash said, “Vulgarity is wrong. I didn't even kiss you, you have seen.” (I haven't kissed)
He added that there is a line that filmmakers understand and said such scenes should be shot aesthetically. According to him, the visual impact is part of cinema and the creator’s voice, while the emotions in Toxic are important to the story.
Yash also said that Toxic has been made for Gen Z.
At the Mumbai audio launch of Toxic on Thursday, Yash also spoke about Kiara Advani’s commitment to the film. He revealed that he and director Geetu Mohandas became extra protective of the actress after she became pregnant during the shoot.
Praising Kiara’s professionalism, Yash said he was initially worried because the film was demanding. He recalled how Advani had asked him about shooting a rain sequence and said that he realised how dedicated she was once filming began.
Yash said Kiara continued to give 100 per cent to the film despite being pregnant. He added that he and Geetu Mohandas were like “bouncers/bodyguards” on set and took extra care of her. He also thanked Kiara, calling the film special.
The comments come weeks after the makers unveiled the dark romantic track Tabaahi on July 8. Several netizens targeted Kiara over the intimate scenes with Yash, questioning her choices and sparking discussions about double standards in the film industry, particularly around marriage and motherhood.
At the Bengaluru trailer launch on August 8, Yash defended Kiara against the backlash and said that actors unfortunately have to go through such criticism. He urged people to follow what they believe in and said that the makers are “a little ahead of the times.”

Toxic was earlier scheduled to release in March this year and clash at the box office with Dhurandhar The Revenge. The film was later postponed to June before being pushed again to August 26.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth. Originally made as a Kannada film, it will be dubbed and released in several languages, including Hindi.
Toxic is expected to make a strong impact at the box office.
