Major accident in Pakistan, overloaded bus fell into a deep ditch, more than 40 people died tragically.

A tragic road accident in Pakistan on Friday shocked the entire region when an overloaded passenger bus lost control and fell into a deep gorge on the Sherani-Zhob Highway. At least 40 people died in this accident, while 8 others are said to be seriously injured.

It is being told that this bus was going from Quetta to Islamabad and on the way it met with an accident on the sensitive mountain road connecting Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. After the accident, there was chaos in the area and relief and rescue operations were started rapidly.

According to reports, emergency rescue teams have so far pulled out 40 bodies from the debris, while the injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals. Six ambulances, several medical teams and emergency vehicles have been deployed in the relief work.

According to the local administration, the bus was overloaded during the journey as some passengers had boarded another bus that broke down en route, resulting in overcrowding. Due to this the vehicle became unbalanced and fell into a deep ditch.

After the accident, medical emergency has been declared in Sherani and surrounding areas, as the pressure on the health system has increased due to the large number of injured patients.

Local officials said that relief and rescue operations are still underway and an official investigation has been launched to investigate the cause of the accident.
