Major action by Food Safety Department under communicable disease control campaign in which area?

Under the Communicable Disease Control Campaign, the team of Food Safety and Drug Administration Department conducted a comprehensive inspection campaign to ensure the quality of food items in the district. During the campaign, shops selling cut fruits, sugarcane juice, loose sweets and other food items were inspected to check compliance with food safety standards.
During the inspection, shopkeepers were instructed to maintain cleanliness, keep food items covered and not use banned chemicals. Officials clarified that strict action will be taken against those who play with public health under the Food Safety and Standards Act. In this sequence, two illegal meat shops located in village Kachnarwa, police station Kon were inspected.
When the investigation confirmed that meat was being sold without food registration and license, action was taken to register a case against the concerned sellers under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. They were also warned not to do business without permission in future. The Food Safety and Drug Administration Department said that during the communicable disease control campaign in the district, such inspection and enforcement action will continue further, so that safe and quality food items can be made available to the general public.
