As part of the campaign being run by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma for the arrest of the accused wanted under the Gangster Act and effective action against the illegal properties acquired from crime, under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Anil Kumar and the close supervision of Area Officer Obra Amit Kumar, a joint team of Police Station Kon and Police Station Obra, in a major action, confiscated the movable property acquired from crime of the accused wanted under the Gangster Act.

Registered at Police Station No. 01/2026, related to Section 3(1) Uttar Pradesh Gangster and Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act 1986, accused Sanjay Chauhan, son of Mahavir, resident of Takiya Police Station, Robertsganj District, Sonbhadra, the movable properties purchased with the money earned from the crime world, were attached as per the rules under Section 14(1) of Uttar Pradesh Gangster Act, as per the order of the District Magistrate, Sonbhadra District. gone

The attached properties include vehicle number UP64AV4916 Tata Nexon, estimated value of ₹9,23,000/- and vehicle number UP64CT0316M Hiwa Truck, estimated value of ₹44,87,000/-. The total estimated value of the attached properties is ₹ 54,10,000/- (Rupees fifty-four lakh ten thousand only). The team formed by the police identified the properties purchased by the accused with the money earned from crime and completed the confiscation proceedings as per the rules. Advance legal proceedings are underway in the matter.

Criminal history of the accused – IPC No. 36/2025 Section 317(2), 319(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2) BNS and Section 3(1), 58, 71(1) UP Mineral Avoidance Rules 2021, IPC No. 01/2026 Section 3(1) UP Gangs and Anti-Social Activities Prevention Act 1986.
