Big success of Lucknow Police, 1.5 year old kidnapped girl recovered in 48 hours, 5 criminals arrested

Lucknow. Today, with the help of footage from more than 150 CCTV cameras, within just 48 hours, Lucknow’s Chowk Police has revealed the kidnapping of a one and a half year old girl and taken five accused into custody. The police have safely recovered the kidnapped girl and handed her over to her parents.

Let us tell you that on the night of 13 July 2026, the 18-month-old daughter of a man working as a laborer with his wife on the roadside near Charak intersection in Lucknow was made missing by unknown miscreants while she was sleeping. After a lot of interrogation, it was found that Sher Singh, a resident of Hardoi, was in need of a newborn child. For this, he talked to his acquaintance Dr. Shyamji Yadav, who made a plan to provide a child with the help of Mohammad Sultan. For your information, let us tell you that a deal of ₹ 2.5 lakh was fixed for this work. After this draft, the gang members kidnapped the girl on the night of 13th July.

The girl was left after the deal was canceled

The girl whom the accused had abducted thinking she was a newborn, was one and a half years old. When the main buyer came to know that the girl was too old, he refused to take the child and the deal was cancelled. After this, due to increasing police pressure and breakdown of the deal, the accused, frightened, left the girl near Gulzar Nagar Fish Market of Alambagh police station area and ran away.

After this incident, police teams scanned the footage of about 150 CCTV cameras in the Chowk and surrounding areas and took help of surveillance. With the help of the footage, the routes and identification of the accused were established. After this, on the morning of July 15, 2026, based on the information and technology received, the police laid siege near Malviya Nagar turn via Gulzar Nagar to Bhusamandi intersection and captured the five accused.

Identification of the arrested accused

The accused arrested by the police include 20-year-old Rishabh Kashyap, 22-year-old Rohit Pasi, 25-year-old Mohammad Irshad, 27-year-old Mohammad Sultan, and 29-year-old Nakashyam Ji Yadav. After arresting all these accused, the police have registered a case against the accused in this case under sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Also, the search for other networks of the gang is going on.
