Major cyber crime action, 3 accused arrested for making deepfake video of Rukmini Vasanth

Tezzbuzz Desk – Amidst the continuous increase in cyber crime cases, deepfakes and AI generated content are becoming a big challenge. In this series, the case of South actress Rukmini Vasanth has come to light, in which objectionable deepfake videos and AI generated images were created by misusing her name and photographs.

According to media reports, in these videos and pictures which went viral on social media, the actress was edited and shown in a wrong and misleading form, which caused serious damage to her image. It is being told that the actress had lodged a complaint with the Bengaluru Cyber ​​Crime Police regarding this entire matter.

After the complaint was registered, the cyber police took swift action and started investigation and identified three accused on the basis of technical evidence. After this, all three were arrested and presented before the Judicial Magistrate, from where they have been sent to custody. At present, the police is investigating this entire network in depth to find out who else could be involved in it.

It is noteworthy that the issues of deepfake and AI based fake content have now become a matter of concern for many personalities of the film industry. Many Bollywood and South stars have already filed complaints regarding such cases and demanded strict action.
