Big revelation of fake cement in Delhi: Raid on two factories, hundreds of bags of fake cement recovered.

Amidst the continuous action being taken against the business of adulteration and counterfeit goods in Delhi, a big racket manufacturing fake cement has now been exposed. After milk, cheese and spices, the fake cement business coming to light in the capital has raised serious questions about the quality of construction work and the safety of people.

Big action of crime branch

Crime Branch of Delhi Police raided two illegal factories running in Mandoli and Jawahar Nagar Industrial Area and exposed the network of making fake cement. Police had been receiving information for a long time that in these areas, fake cement was being prepared and supplied in the market in the name of branded companies.

This is how fake cement was being prepared

Investigation revealed that the factory operators used to mix clinker material with spoiled and expired cement and pack it in fake bags of famous companies. After this, this adulterated cement was sold in the market as the original brand.

The crime branch conducted a raid on the basis of secret information and arrested an accused from the spot. However, the search for other people associated with this racket is going on.

Large quantity of counterfeit goods recovered

Police recovered a large quantity of fake and adulterated materials during the operation. These include:

2,725 empty bags of fake branded cement
341 filled fake cement bags
Large quantity of adulterated cement and clinker material
About 1,780 spoiled and expired cement bags

According to preliminary investigation, these bad cement bags were being used to prepare fake cement.

Factories sealed, machines seized

The Crime Branch has seized the illegal machines installed in the factories and both the premises have been sealed. Police believe that this gang was supplying fake cement used in construction works for a long time, which could pose a serious threat to the strength of buildings and the lives of people.

Investigation into supply network continues

Delhi Police is now trying to find out in which areas this fake cement was being supplied and who are the people involved in this entire network. The investigating agencies are also investigating the supply chain and the dealers involved in the market.

Cases of adulteration have come to light earlier also

It is noteworthy that continuous action has been taken against fake and adulterated products in Delhi-NCR. In July 2025, the Food Security Department in Bulandshahr had raided a warehouse manufacturing spurious milk and seized about 1,400 liters of chemical, which was being used to prepare spurious milk.
