Major reshuffle in Chhattisgarh Excise Department, 30 officers transferred, see who got responsibility where
Orders have been issued for a large-scale administrative reshuffle in the long-awaited Chhattisgarh Excise Department, in which a total of thirty officers and employees have got new postings. By issuing these transfer orders late evening on Monday, the Commercial Tax Excise Department of Chhattisgarh Government has initiated an important change in the excise system across the state. After the implementation of these orders with immediate effect, now District Excise Officer, Assistant Commissioner, Flying Squad Officer, Sub Inspector and many other officers will take responsibility in their new work area.
The direct impact of this comprehensive reshuffle will be seen on the excise system of many districts including the capital Raipur like Durg, Rajnandgaon, Balod, Korba, Kabirdham, Sakti, Balrampur, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki and Khairagarh-Gandai-Chhuikhadan. In this list released by the department, many key officers have been sent from one place to another, which is expected to bring new energy and efficiency in the excise functioning of these districts.
Praveen Verma will command Raipur Excise Department.
A major change has also been made in the command of the excise system of the capital Raipur. According to the order issued, Assistant Commissioner Excise Praveen Verma has now been given the important responsibility of in-charge Deputy Commissioner Excise Raipur. At the same time, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, who was till now working on the post of Acting Deputy Commissioner of Excise in Raipur, has been transferred and given a new role in Rajnandgaon district. Apart from this, Savita Rani Meghram, who was serving in the State Beverage Corporation, has also been appointed to the post of Acting Deputy Commissioner of Excise, Raipur, who will play an important role in strengthening the excise system of Raipur.
Ratnesh Maravi becomes District Excise Officer of Sakti
A major reshuffle has also been seen in the posting of District Excise Officers. Under the order, Ratnesh Maravi, posted in Bastar Divisional Flying Squad, has now been appointed District Excise Officer of Sakti district. In this sequence, CR Sahu has been given the charge of Khairagarh-Gandai-Chhuikhadan district, while Palak Nand has got the command of Balod district. Shashank Kumar has been made the District Excise Officer of Balrampur-Ramanujganj and Rohit Dewangan has been made the District Excise Officer of Dhamtari district. All these officers are expected to assume charge at their new workplaces with immediate effect.
This major administrative reshuffle in the Excise Department is being seen as an important exercise by the government to bring administrative tightening. Its main objective is to make departmental functioning more effective and ensure transparency. In the times to come, this reshuffle may result in new strategies of the department to control the illicit liquor trade, increase revenue collection and intensify enforcement actions. This step can prove to be a decisive initiative towards curbing liquor related crimes in the state and increasing excise revenue.
