Security agencies have uncovered significant information during the investigation into Hamim Mandal, alias Hamid Fuego, a terrorist arrested in Burdwan, West Bengal. The investigation revealed that a conspiracy was being hatched at the behest of Pakistan-linked gangster Shahzad Bhatti to carry out terrorist activities in India and target key locations, including Delhi. However, the investigation is still ongoing, and agencies are searching for other individuals involved in the network.

According to sources, the case was revealed when the SIT detained and interrogated a young woman from Barharwa, Sahibganj. The woman is said to be close to Hamim Mandal, who was arrested in West Bengal. During interrogation, she revealed that she had heard Hamim mention a plan for a major attack in Delhi during a conversation. However, she also stated that she was unaware of the full scope of the plot.
