  • 5-6 potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons ghee or peanut oil
  • 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon rock salt (according to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Easy recipe for fasting potato bhujia

  • First of all peel the potatoes and cut them into thin and long pieces.
  • After this, wash the potatoes thoroughly with water 2-3 times, so that the extra starch is removed.
  • Then drain all the water from the potatoes and dry them thoroughly with a cloth or tissue.
  • Now heat ghee or peanut oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, add the finely chopped green chilies and fry for a few seconds.
  • Then, add the chopped potatoes to the pan and mix well. Cover the pan and cook over low heat for at least 5-7 minutes. Stir the potatoes occasionally to ensure they are cooked through.
  • When the potatoes are almost cooked, add rock salt and black pepper powder and mix well. Now cook, uncovered, for another 4-5 minutes, until the potatoes become slightly crispy on the outside.
