Ingredients to make Ragi Dhokla

Ragi flour 90 grams, semolina 120 grams, salt 1 teaspoon, curd 1 cup, ginger chilli paste 1 teaspoon, powdered sugar 1 tablespoon, oil 3 tablespoons, eno 1.5 teaspoon, mustard seeds half teaspoon, two green chillies, sesame seeds 1 teaspoon, coconut, fresh coconut, green coriander.

Method to make Ragi Dhokla:

  • Step 1: To make Ragi Dhokla, first add ragi flour, semolina and curd in a big bowl and mix well. Now add one and a half cup of water in it and prepare a lump-free batter by whisking well. Now add salt, ginger chilli paste, powdered sugar and one spoon oil to it, mix well again and keep it covered for twenty minutes.
  • Step 2: Now, grease a container from all sides and then add one spoon of eno to the ragi batter and mix well and pour the batter into the container.
  • Step 3: Now keep water in a big pan while turning on the gas and place the container with batter on it. Now cover it and cook for twenty minutes. Keep the gas flame medium to slow. After twenty minutes, insert a toothpick into the batter to check whether it is cooked or not. When it is cooked, turn off the gas.
  • Fourth Step: When the container cools down, keep it upside down on the plate, this will allow the Dhokla to be removed easily. Now cut it into the shape of your choice. Now add mustard, curry leaves and sesame seeds in a ladle and then pour this tempering over the dhokla. Your Ragi Dhokla is ready. Serve it with coconut chutney.
