Who were arrested in Mecca?
In this action which took place on 3 May 2026, the security forces detained a total of 5 people. These included one Saudi citizen, two Egyptians and two Yemenis. All of them violated the rules of Haj and tried to enter the city without the necessary permits. The administration has taken them into custody and legal process has been started against them.

The General Directorate of Public Security has advised all citizens and expatriates to follow the rules of the 1447 AH Hajj season. The government has clearly said that those who break the rules will have to face legal punishment.
