‘Street Fighter’ Mamta Banerjee was seen in the avatar of BJP, taunted, said – now no courage to show drone shot
Mamata Banerjee Hawkers Rally Dharmatala: After losing power in West Bengal, former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was once again seen on the streets in the avatar of a street fighter on Wednesday. Amidst the rift in the party and ongoing legal investigation into old cases, Mamata joined the hawkers’ protest in Dharamtala. This demonstration of hawkers was against illegal eviction. TMC also took to the streets in support of the protests. This information was shared on the official X handle of TMC.
Heartless government ignoring citizens: TMC
Sharing the protest on its official
Our Hon’ble Chairperson @MamataOfficialalongside party leaders and dedicated workers, led a peaceful protest march against the illegal, unjust and deeply inhumane eviction of hawkers across #Bengal.
The people of Bengal have always come first.
Their dignity, livelihoods and… pic.twitter.com/WNg0HvS1MT— All India Trinamool Congress (@AITCofficial) June 17, 2026
The party wrote, the people of Bengal have always been first. Their honour, livelihood and rights will be protected with unwavering resolve, and no stone will be left unturned in this fight. The ruthless BJP government, driven only by its greed for power and complete disregard for the common citizens, will soon fall under the burden of its own anti-people policies.

BJP called it a flop show
BJP is taking a jibe at Mamata for joining the protests. Bengal BJP wrote in a post on its X handle, there was a time when TMC used to proudly share drone shots to show the huge crowd gathered in the protest march against Mamata Banerjee. BJP wrote that today they have to depend on close-up shots. That too in Dharamtala near New Market, which has been a den of illegal hawkers having TMC’s vote bank, yet Mamata’s rally flopped miserably.
